The MSHA Classic Golf Tournament supports a local philanthropy chosen by Class 60. A portion of the funds raised will be donated to the Autism Support of Alabama (ASA). ASA is a Birmingham-based nonprofit dedicated to improving lives of individuals with autism spectrum disorder and their families through education, advocacy and community support.

In addition, the event provides travel funds for students who are interested in attending healthcare conferences for professional development and networking opportunities, such as ACHE, MGMA, HIMSS, and NAHSE.
